The Canopy car park is open with 500 underground parking spaces available. Access to the car park is via the roundabout at the intersection of Finlayson Street and Rosenthal Avenue. 

The car park operates as up to 3 hours free on levels P2 to P4 and 1 hour free express parking on level P1. 

Parking for people with a disability and seniors can be found on all levels. 

The car park features Express Parking on P1 and Early Bird Parking on P4.

  Please note that time continues to accumulate if you re-enter the car park within one hour.

Operating hours:

The Canopy car park is open 24 hours, seven days a week.

Paid parking rates are:

1st hour after free period $7.25

2nd hour after free period $17.50

3rd hour after free period $24.75

+4 hours after free period $46.25

Entry after 6:00pm is free.

If you forget to pay when exiting the car park, you can pay online by visiting www.lanecoveparking.com.au. You have three days to make a payment, or fines apply.

When visiting the Payment Portal, customers will be prompted to enter their vehicle licence plate and any outstanding payments will appear.

  Have you stayed more than 3 hours? A new payment option, EasyPark, is now available The Canopy car park. 

About EasyPark

How it works:

• Download the app and register your mobile number, vehicle registration, and payment method.
• Activate CameraPark.
• On Entry: you will receive a push notification confirming a session has started.
• On Exit: Drive to the boom gate (at Little Street) or simply exit the car park at Market Square, St Leonards Central, or The Canopy. You will receive a push notification confirming the end of the session, with the transaction recorded in the app and a receipt emailed to you.
  

EasyPark is a third-party app that operates independently from Council. It is simply an additional payment option for those looking to “set and forget”. The existing payment options at PayStations, upon exit, and via www.lanecoveparking.com.au are still available.

Electric Vehicle Parking

The Canopy car park includes 10 x electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, 4 x “fast” chargers are located on P2 which require customers to download the Evie App before use. There are 6 x “slow” chargers located on P3 which cost $0.22/kwh and require customers to download the Exploren app. Please note, the fast chargers are approximately 10x faster than the slow chargers and do NOT have a fixed cost per kwh. 

To keep chargers available for everyone, idle fees apply once

charging finishes from 1 December 2025 on P3 chargers only.

After a 15-minute grace period, a fee of $0.10 per minute will be

charged until you move your vehicle.

You will receive alerts via the Exploren app when charging ends

and when fees begin.

Early Bird Parking

Early Bird parking is available 7 days a week on P4 with entry before 9:30am and exit after 4:00pm for only $7.75. 

Business Parking Permits

A yearly Business Parking Permit scheme allows unlimited and unrestricted use of level P4 of The Canopy car park seven days-a-week at a cost of $1,850 per annum, per permit. The scheme allows for up to 50 business parkers.

To be eligible for a Business Parking Permit, the Applicant must operate a business permanently located in the Lane Cove town centre or is a staff member of that business. Please refer to the shaded areas in the Business Parking Centre map to check whether your business is eligible.​
